About Ardsley Park

Ardsley Park is part of the Ardsley Park–Chatham Crescent Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and covering roughly 400 acres with nearly a thousand contributing buildings. Developed beginning in 1909–1910 as Savannah's first major automobile-era suburb, it was platted by brothers Harry Hays Lattimore and William Lattimore on a strict grid, with one-acre landscaped parks set at regular intervals and offset along the north-south spine of Abercorn Street. Most homes date from the 1910s through the 1930s. The district runs from Victory Drive on the north to roughly 54th Lane on the south, with Bull Street on the west and Waters Avenue on the east; Habersham Street divides Ardsley Park from Chatham Crescent. Victory Drive, the neighborhood's northern edge, is a palm-lined memorial boulevard where, in the 1920s, local leaders planted 128 trees honoring the 128 Chatham County soldiers who died in World War I. Across Waters Avenue to the east sits Daffin Park, the 80-acre park designed by landscape architect John Nolen in 1907. With Habersham Village shops nearby and an active neighborhood association, Ardsley Park keeps the walkable, family-oriented character residents have valued for over a century.

Homes we clean here

Ardsley Park's housing stock is overwhelmingly early-twentieth-century revival architecture: Colonial Revival and Dutch Colonial two-stories, Neo-Classical and Tudor Revival brick homes, Mediterranean and Spanish Revival facades, Prairie-style designs, and Arts and Crafts bungalows. Many retain original hardwood floors, detailed millwork and baseboards, plaster walls, vintage tile baths, and screened porches, often paired with updated kitchens. Cleaning a home like this means understanding older surfaces — protecting hardwoods from excess moisture, hand-wiping detailed trim, and giving aging grout and tile the patient attention they need. Larger lots and mature landscaping along the boulevards also mean generous square footage and plenty of surface area to care for, room by room.

Why PenguinPro for Ardsley Park

Cleaning a National Register home means respecting original hardwoods, detailed baseboards, plaster, and vintage tile — and doing it the same careful way each time. We send the same cleaner to your home every visit, not a rotating crew, so they learn the quirks of your specific block and house: where the antique lamp sits, which bathroom grout needs extra attention, how you like the kitchen left. Our $2M liability insurance and Checkr background-checked cleaners mean you can hand over a key or door code with confidence in a close-knit neighborhood. Ardsley Park sits well inside our core service area, so there is no distance surcharge — just consistent, professional cleaning at transparent flat-rate pricing you can see before you book.

FAQ — Ardsley Park

Common questions about cleaning in Ardsley Park

Do you clean older Ardsley Park homes with original hardwood floors and detailed millwork?

Yes. Many homes in the Ardsley Park–Chatham Crescent Historic District date from the 1910s through the 1930s and keep original hardwoods, plaster, and detailed trim. We clean hardwood floors with appropriate products, avoiding excess moisture and using dry or damp mopping rather than soaking, and we hand-wipe detailed millwork. If your floors have specific care needs, tell us when booking and your cleaner will follow your instructions.

Is the first cleaning always a Deep clean in Ardsley Park?

Yes. Every new client's first visit is a Deep clean, regardless of neighborhood. Deep cleaning adds detailed scrubbing of baseboards, door frames, switch plates, and build-up in bathrooms and the kitchen, plus hand-wiped surfaces throughout. For these older revival-style homes it resets things to a great baseline, so each recurring visit maintains that standard. See your exact price at penguinproclean.com/pricing.

How does flat-rate pricing work for an Ardsley Park home?

Our pricing is a transparent flat rate based on your home's size and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms — no quote call required. Ardsley Park's larger boulevard lots and historic two-stories often mean more rooms to care for, and that is reflected up front: a 4-bedroom home runs $269/visit biweekly.
