What's included in a standard clean?
Standard cleaning covers bathrooms (shower, tub, toilet, sink, mirror, and floors), kitchen (counters, sink, stovetop, exterior of appliances, cabinet fronts, and floors), all living areas and bedrooms (dusting of reachable surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, making beds, and wiping switches and handles), trash emptied, and common areas including stairs and railings. Inside oven, fridge, windows, and cabinets are available as add-ons.
Why is recurring cleaning less expensive than one monthly visit?
When you schedule cleaning more often, each visit takes less time because your home stays in better shape between cleans. We pass that efficiency on to you as a discount — biweekly saves 10% off the monthly rate, and weekly saves 15%.
Why is the first visit always a Deep clean?
Every new client's first visit is a Deep clean because we start from scratch — we do a thorough reset of your home before setting up a recurring maintenance routine. This ensures the baseline is right so every subsequent visit is faster and more consistent.
What is the founding offer?
Our founding offer gives our first 25 recurring clients 20% off their first 3 cleanings — the first Deep clean and your next 2 recurring visits. It is applied automatically at booking; no code needed.
Who will be cleaning my home?
PenguinPro is a husband-and-wife run service — you'll have the same cleaner every visit, not a rotating team. All cleaners are background-checked through Checkr and we carry $2 million in general liability insurance.
What if something isn't right after my clean?
If any area isn't right, report it within 24 hours and we'll re-clean it free — no questions asked. That's our satisfaction guarantee.
Is there a contract? Can I cancel?
No long-term contract — ever. Cancel or pause anytime. Cancellations and reschedules are free with 24 hours' notice; inside 24 hours (or if we can't access your home), a $50 late-cancellation fee applies. We also lock in your rate for at least 6 months once you start recurring service.
How does payment work?
For recurring visits (your 2nd clean onward), there's no upfront charge — your card on file is billed the same day your cleaner marks the visit done. For your first visit (always a Deep clean), standalone Deep cleans, and Move-in/out cleans, a $50 deposit is due at booking and the balance is charged after the clean. No subscription, no auto-renewal — billed per completed clean.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?
Yes — we bring all cleaning supplies and equipment. If you'd like us to use non-toxic, family- and pet-safe products, add our Eco/Green cleaning upgrade for $20 per visit.
