Will I get the same cleaner every visit?

Yes. PenguinPro assigns you one dedicated cleaner who learns your home and preferences. This is one of the key differences from national franchises, which typically send rotating teams.

Are your cleaners background-checked and insured?

Yes. All cleaners pass a background check through Checkr. PenguinPro Cleaning carries $2M general liability insurance. You can request the Certificate of Insurance at any time.

Can I trust who comes into my home?

Yes. PenguinPro is a small, owner-operated Savannah business — not a national franchise with rotating crews. You get one dedicated cleaner who learns your home, every cleaner passes a Checkr background check, and we carry $2M general liability insurance (certificate available on request). If anything is not right, report it within 24 hours and we re-clean it free.

Do I need to be home while you clean?

No — most of our clients aren't home. You provide access (a key, a lockbox code, a garage door code — your preference) and we get to work. If you're more comfortable being home for the first clean, that's completely fine. Many clients choose to do that and then step out for subsequent visits once they've seen how it works.

What if something gets damaged?

How much does house cleaning cost in Savannah?

Do you have any discounts or offers right now?

Yes. Why are some house cleaners so much cheaper?

A much lower price usually means a cost was skipped. Carrying $2M general liability insurance, running every cleaner through a Checkr background check, and paying people properly all cost money — and they protect you if something goes wrong. Cleaners working under the table or without insurance can quote less because you, not they, carry the risk. PenguinPro builds those protections into one honest flat rate with no hidden fees.

Why do you publish your prices when nobody else does?

Because the "call for a quote" model benefits the company, not the customer. When a company makes you call before revealing a price, they calibrate the quote to what they think you'll accept. Transparent flat-rate pricing means everyone pays the same rate for the same home size and frequency. No negotiating, no surprises. We think that's how it should work.

Is the price I see the price I pay?

Yes. What the calculator shows is what your invoice reflects — unless you add on services. The only variables are add-ons you select at booking (inside fridge, inside oven, laundry, etc.) and any service-type upgrade. For a typical home, the published price is your price.

How do I pay?

Payment is by credit or debit card saved on file via Stripe. For recurring maintenance visits, your card is charged the same day, after your cleaner marks the clean complete — never before. First-time deep cleans and move-in/out cleans include a $50 deposit at booking, with the balance charged after the clean. Cards are stored securely — PenguinPro never sees your full card number.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. There are no long-term contracts. Recurring plans can be paused or cancelled with 24 hours' notice. You are never locked in.

Services & What's Included

What is included in a standard cleaning?

Standard cleaning includes all bathrooms (shower/tub, toilet, sink, mirror, floors), kitchen (counters, sink, stovetop, exterior of appliances, cabinet fronts, floors), all living areas and bedrooms (dusting of reachable surfaces, vacuum, mop, make beds, wipe switches and handles), trash emptied, and common areas, stairs, and railings. Inside oven, inside fridge, inside windows, and laundry are available as add-ons.

What is a deep cleaning, and do I need one?

A deep cleaning adds detailed scrubbing: baseboards, door frames, switch plates, build-up in bathrooms and kitchen, hand-wiped surfaces, and edges and corners. It costs 60% more than the Monthly standard rate. Every new client's first visit is a Deep clean.

Do you use a checklist?

Yes. Every visit follows a consistent checklist for each area of the home — bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living areas, common areas. Your cleaner works through it room by room. The checklist is what makes the clean predictable and the guarantee meaningful.

Will you send photos after the clean?

We offer before/after photos on request — just let us know when you book and we'll photograph the cleaned areas. This is especially useful when you're not home. On move-in/out cleans, photos are standard and included.

How does cancellation or rescheduling work?

How far in advance do I need to book?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice. During busy seasons (spring cleaning in March–April, the run-up to the holidays), booking about a week ahead will lock in your preferred day and time. For recurring clients, your slot is held on an ongoing basis — you don't rebook each time, and we send a reminder before each visit.

What time will my cleaner arrive?

When you book online, you can choose a start time from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week — the latest start depends on your home's cleaning time. Need a different time? Call us and we'll arrange it. If anything shifts your timing, we'll reach out to let you know.

What areas do you serve?

PenguinPro Cleaning serves Savannah and the surrounding Coastal Empire — including the islands (Tybee, Wilmington, Skidaway, Isle of Hope), Pooler, Garden City, Port Wentworth, Richmond Hill, and Rincon — at no travel charge. We also travel farther across the region (Hinesville, Statesboro, Jesup, and Brunswick) for a small per-mile travel fee, and serve Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, SC on request. Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Yes. We bring everything — cleaning products, mop, vacuum, microfiber cloths, and anything else needed for a standard clean. If you have a specific product you prefer for a particular surface (a natural stone countertop, a floor material, a product you trust for an allergy reason), leave it out with a note and we'll use it instead.

Are your products safe for kids and pets?

The products we use are professional-grade and effective. Prefer a greener clean? Our eco/green cleaning option uses non-toxic, family- and pet-safe products for +$20 per visit — just add it when you book. If you have specific concerns about a product or ingredient, email us before your first clean and we'll talk through it.

Should I tip my cleaner?

Tipping is not expected, but it is appreciated. If your cleaner did exceptional work — a difficult clean, extra care on something, going above what was asked — a tip is a meaningful way to say so. Cash left out with a note goes straight to your cleaner. There's no required amount, and no tip is ever expected.
